Music & Performing Arts: A Dynamic Approach to Expression

Our Music and Performing Arts program is defined by its versatility and project-based spirit. Rather than maintaining a single, permanent ensemble, we adopt a flexible, goal-oriented approach that allows our students to thrive in diverse performance environments.

When preparing for regional competitions or major school functions, we strategically organize specialized groups tailored to the occasion. For example, we assemble dedicated marching bands to compete in regional music contests, where students develop discipline, stamina, and precision. Alongside these modern performances, we take great pride in our Japanese traditional performing arts group. This ensemble focuses on preserving cultural heritage, blending rhythm and movement to tell stories through time-honored techniques.

This dynamic structure offers students a unique opportunity to explore various facets of the performing arts. Whether mastering an instrument, perfecting marching drills, or learning the intricate movements of traditional dance, students learn the value of collaboration and the power of a shared vision. Our groups frequently take the stage at various school events and local celebrations, showcasing the talent and dedication of our performers.

We invite all students to find their rhythm and join us in creating memorable performances that reflect the Tenri spirit of excellence and cultural appreciation.
